SKorea wants sanction exemptions to restart NKorea projectsSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korean President Moon Jae-in suggested Thursday that he'll push for sanction exemptions to restart dormant economic cooperation projects with North Korea. The comments, if pursued before South Korea's ally Washington is ready, could weaken ties with the United States and complicate efforts to rid the North of its nuclear weapons. Moon spoke only days after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said in a New Year's Day address that he was ready to resume South Korean tours to a North Korean mountain and reopen a jointly run factory complex in the North that was shut during the North's push to improve its nuclear weapons program. Time to make a the donuts Makes you wonder who made sure their leader was elected who seems to be rolling over for NK WHY? Human rights are serious issues, time to sanction South korea

North Korea women suffer serious sexual abuse but no 'MeToo'SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean refugees say sexual violence against women in their former homeland is part of daily life. But a new report suggests there's little chance that abused women in the North will get to say 'MeToo' anytime soon. North Korea's extremely patriarchal society means many women feel powerless to demand accountability over sexual violence, many are also ashamed of being abused, and some choose to keep silent because of flimsy law enforcement and support systems, according to a report published Thursday by New York-based Human Rights Watch based on interviews with 106 North Koreans who left the country, more than half of them after 2011. hyungjin1972 Start a gofundme to send the pantifa over there. hyungjin1972 hyungjin1972 You mean trumps BFF is a bad guy?

S. Korea sends tangerines to North in return for mushroomsSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea has airlifted 200 tons of tangerines to North Korea in return for shipments of pine mushrooms by the North in September, officials said Monday. South Korean military planes flew to Pyongyang, North Korea's capital, on Sunday and Monday to deliver the fruit from the southern island of Jeju, according to Seoul's Defense Ministry. The airlifts are another sign that liberal South Korean President Moon Jae-in is moving ahead with efforts to improve ties with North Korea despite stalemated global diplomacy on the North's nuclear program. Respectful...good move So Korea This is the most interesting news of the day? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ this is cute

South Korean minister: US says N. Korea canceled meetingSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea's foreign minister quoted U.S. officials as saying that it was North Korea that canceled a meeting this week between U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a senior North Korean official on nuclear issues. North Korea sent a notification to Washington to call off the meeting aimed at discussing the North's denuclearization and setting up a second summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said Thursday. All this winning!!! It must be exhausting for trump Did trump already declare we can sleep soundly because NK no longer had nukes? S. Korean leader urges bolder steps from N. Korea and USSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korean President Moon Jae-in urged North Korea to take bolder disarmament measures that the United States should then reward, suggesting Thursday he wants harsh sanctions lifted so Seoul can eventually restart dormant economic cooperation projects with the North. Some observers believe that any sanctions relief, if pursued before South Korea's ally Washington is ready, could weaken ties with the United States and complicate efforts to rid the North of its nuclear weapons. Others see the comments by Moon, a liberal who covets deep engagement with Pyongyang, as simply a symbolic bit of conciliation toward North Korea. hyungjin1972 Give whatever they want hyungjin1972 Disarm all the way and then we'll reward. hyungjin1972 America. US, North Korea hold talks aimed at 2nd Trump-Kim summitWASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. and North Korea held highly anticipated talks Friday aimed at resuming stalled efforts to end the North's nuclear weapons program by arranging a second summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korea's former spy chief, Kim Yong Chol, did not respond to reporters' questions before their hourlong meeting at a Washington hotel. Pompeo then went to the White House. The North Korean envoy was expected to join him there later for a possible meeting with Trump. Group calls for bigger Seoul role in tackling TB in NKoreaSEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A U.S.-based nonprofit group has called for South Korea to take stronger steps to fight a tuberculosis crisis in North Korea it says has worsened under strengthened U.S.-led sanctions over its nuclear weapons and missile program. Stephen Linton, chairman of the Eugene Bell Foundation, on Friday criticized Seoul's supposed lack of urgency to help aid organizations gain sanctions exemptions to facilitate the delivery of supplies to treat patients in North Korea. He said a failure to get North Korea's tuberculosis problem under control could potentially have health consequences for South Korea, which is actively pushing exchanges with North Korea to improve relations amid larger U.S.-led negotiations to rid the North of its nuclear weapons and long-range missiles. No thanks. SO. E INSPIRED PREJUDICED ORGANISATION, WHY WOULD SOUTH KOREA BE OBLIGED TO DO THIS & WHY WOULD HEALTH RISK NOT ADDRESSED TO WHO. The Latest: Trump to hold 2nd summit with North Korea's KimWASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on U.S.-North Korea talks (all times local): 2:30 p.m. President Donald Trump is to hold a second summit with the leader of North Korea near the end of February to try to coax the North to give up its nuclear program. The announcement came at the White House Friday after Trump met with a North Korean envoy. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump met for 90 minutes with Kim Yong Chol to discuss denuclearization and a second summit. She said the president looks forward to meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a place to be announced at a later date. Trump had his first, historic meeting with Kim Jong Un last June in Singapore and reached a vague denuclearization agreement, but little tangible progress has been made since. So far, no details have been publicly released about how denuclearization could occur. Are felons permitted to travel outside the country or will tRump be wearing an ankle bracelet?
