What all of those jeans have in common—along with the 30-plus more artfully placed around my home—is a very high, waist-cinching rise, one that requires everything to be tucked in. Or so I’ve convinced myself; I can’t remember a time when Ituck my shirt in. When high-rise, non-stretch denim became the norm a few years ago, it was a revelation for many of us. For a girl with a smaller waist-to-hip ratio, a blouse tucked into high-rise jeans became my foolproof uniform.
That explains why I’ve been gravitating towards tops that cannot and should not be tucked in: long sweaters, oversized button-downs, relaxed blouses. They’re items that will put my arsenal of high-rise jeans out of a job: When you aren’t tucking your shirt in, you don’t really need your jeans to graze your ribcage.
Ugh, does that mean I need to stock up on tons of high rise jeans & pants before stores stop selling them?. NO WAY am I ever wearing low-rise ever again. So unflattering
