MADRID — In Europe’s latest bid to get live music fans back on the dance floor, promoters in Barcelona are staging a 5,000-person indoor concert on Saturday with no seating or social distancing., a Spanish indie rock band, as the largest indoor rock concert on the continent since the COVID-19 pandemic began, are hopeful the limited capacity show will help them make their case to Spanish health officials that live concerts can be resumed safely.
Against that backdrop, the organizers of Saturday’s concert insist it should be viewed as a medical experiment rather than a commercial endeavor.
