At least 20 lawsuits making their way through the courts could alter abortion law. Here’s how. When Weems reopened the clinic, she wanted to make sure that she could provide women the full spectrum of reproductive health care, from contraceptive implants to abortion care. But the state of Montana prevents advanced practice nurses —a nurse with post-graduate education in nursing — from performing abortions.
“We have a reproductive health care access crisis. By allowing qualified, capable providers — advanced practice clinicians — to just fill the gap will go so far in addressing the unmet need,” Weems says. In many states, advanced clinicians like Weems serve as the primary care provider for their patients and are allowed to perform duties that many view as more complicated, including endometrial biopsies and managing opioid pain medicines — but they are barred from performing abortions. As access to abortion has been sharply restricted over the past decade, women’s rights groups are pushing to expand the definition of abortion providers.ruling in 1973.

There are laws restricting abortion before 12 weeks in most states, and President Bush signed the 'Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002'. So there are legal protections. However it is personal and the government should not supersede medical and difficult parental decisions.
Also, dear US: you want to protect unborn life at all costs but doing something against school shootings or ensuring under-privileged children have a shot at a high education is just too hard? Yeah, I see how you're all pro-life and shit.
Coming from a country where the abortion debate is also picking up steam, I gotta say: what do the pro-life people think what happens during an abortion?! They sound like Michael Myers does the deed. Also, no woman will make that decision lightly.
Baby murder isn't a right, it's an unlawful privilege demanded by people without any perspective on what they're actually asking for. Abortions within the first 2 months are at least within some reason, even though they're still murder. After that though, medical necessity only.
I don’t understand why people are so against abortion, but then again, I’m not a religious person.
Well when ya'll try to redefine abortion as 'We'll resuscitate the baby and make it comfortable before making a decision' I think it's high time for some more restrictions if not an outright ban as this obviously isn't about 'women's health' anymore.
Why are you people so obsessed with killing your unborn children.
Anally or orally?
