A 21-year-old man has been arrested for the theft of 10 Range Rovers from a dealership in Bergen County, authorities said Friday. Dion Wiggins, of Newark, faces multiple charges in the vehicle thefts, which occurred early on Sept. 7 at the Jaguar Land Rover of Paramus on Route 17 South, according to police.
Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said a security gate at the dealership had been cut and that thieves then broke into a locked key box and drove 10 Range Rovers off the lot. During an investigation that involved local police, along with New Jersey State Police, investigators recovered eight of the 10 stolen vehicles in New Jersey and in The Bronx, New York, Ehrenberg said in a statement.Wiggins was arrested Jan. 12 in the Monmouth County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. Wiggins was charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Information about other thieves was not immediately available.
