I’m Not On Board With Blue Pumpkins For Autistic KidsWhy should non-verbal and autistic children wear their diagnoses out loud just so people can choose to be nice to them? Thank you. It’s a terrible idea and anyone getting called out on it seems to dig their heels in about why it’s doing our kids a favor and how dare we not love it. Just get a big bowl and fill it with candy. Hand it out to everyone who rings your damn doorbell. I don't think it's intended as a target on littles with autism etc, but when people see the blue bucket, it will hopefully clue in adults to remember that these littles may not be able to give the traditional greeting or smile on Halloween, and that they aren't being rude.
