Musk says he’s promising a more lenient touch to moderating content on the social media platform, but the decision is gaining mixed reactions as some users have vowed to delete their accounts once the deal is finalized.for free speech, despite Musk himself blocking Twitter users in the past for disagreeing with his tweets. He does want to change several things to make the platform more user-friendly.

"There’s no way to know whether it’s going to be good or bad. What is for sure is that it’s not going to be the same," says Ken Colburn with Data Doctors. "It will definitely change. He claims he wants to open up the algorithm which is an interesting thing because that’s kind of the secret sauce of these companies."

The more hands-off approach to content moderation that Musk envisions has many users concerned that it will become more of a haven for disinformation, hate speech, and bullying – something Twitter has worked hard for years to mitigate and control.

Whoever deletes their account because Elon Musk is the owner can't handle free speech.

Good, let the cancel culture elitits out.

I wonder how many new accounts were made for everyone that deleted theirs? You can count me as one of the new ones.

Promises, promises. If you don’t like free-speech, repeal the first amendment. Until you do that, get over it.

Free speech is a hard and contentious thing for those who want to control. Please, please, please if you which not to here both sides of an issue (free speech) you can just not listen. By the way, moving to a place with your views maybe an option. San Francisco or Russia?

What about the increase of new additions since the announcement. My guess it will probably balance out any loss

free speech is for all, or for none.

I bet many more people will be joining Twitter now that everyone has a right to free speech and not just the Left.

Musk saves Twitter!

Lmao. Now a taste of their own medicine. Twitter has been silencing all republican views as well as any views that oppose Democrats, Liberalism, and Woke-ism. Now no one will be silenced for free speech and they gonna have a giant temper tantrum like they did 4 years under Trump

Headline: MAN WORKING ON HUMAN BRAIN CHIP RESCUES FREE SPEECH. Naaah, not working for me.

He’s a bit of a megalomaniac, and seems to live in a world of his own so detached from the real one that it must have its own weather system. Per Mr. Musk, “Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated”. Yeah, right.
