The Arizona Republican Party, racked by infighting since Election Day, will vote next week on a measure that would censure Gov. Doug Ducey, former Sen. Jeff Flake and Cindy McCain, the wife of the late Sen. John McCain

The Arizona Republican Party will vote next week on a measure that would censure GOP Gov. Doug Ducey, former Sen. Jeff Flake and Cindy McCain, the wife of the late Sen. John McCain, the latest sign of infighting in the state party.

The resolutions, which if passed would express disapproval but have no formal consequences, come as the state GOP is distancing itself from many of the Republican Party’s longtime establishment figures. The three censure resolutions easily passed the party’s resolution committee and will be brought before the entire state committee on Jan. 23.for each person refer to what some party members say is executive overreach by Mr. Ducey in his response to the pandemic, Mrs.

In a statement, Mrs. McCain criticized Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward and denounced what she described as continuous insults and personal attacks. “She’s shown how attacking Republicans like me can impact elections—her involvement in both Senate elections to replace Jeff Flake and my husband John McCain, two regular targets of her personal attacks, resulted in Democrat wins,” Mrs. McCain said.

Ms. Ward, who is up for re-election to her post next Saturday, hasn’t said how she will vote on the censure resolutions, but she has been critical of the party’s establishment wing in the past. She ran against Mr. McCain for the GOP Senate nomination in 2016.

Way to go GOP. Censure people that speak out against others that commit illegal and imoral acts against our country, police and citizens. I think they might need to listen more closely to what they hear on Sundays or any other method of fine tuning a moral compass they might use.

lol Kelli Ward will just keep losing election after election for AZ Republicans.

One censured for trying to protect Arizonans from COVID. One censured for supporting equality. Two censured for supporting democracy.

That’s crap. Way to go GOP

Please someone tell me, this ignorant person, why this matters? Seriously would like to know.

As a proud American Democrat Socialist in political view, I have repeatedly sent my Thanks to Mitt Romney, Jeff Flake and Cindy McCain. I respect their INTEGRITY to do what’s right for ALL America, to which Trump and his base are poison.

of course, because in the gop, doing the right thing, is the wrong thing

Ugly. Typical GOP these days. Blame others for their power plays.

Republicans: Oooh oooh, I don’t like you telling people the truth, so we’re just not going to listen to you!!!

There's that unity they keep trying to insert into their shitshow 🙄. They are a bunch of hypocrites

McCain was a loser -- rode his POW status and accomplished nothing when all said and done. I knew his father -- a great man was the Admiral!

Arizona GOP wants felony for protesters who damage statuesRepublicans in the Arizona Legislature are reacting to last year's wave of damage to Confederate monuments by civil rights protesters here and across the nation by working to make it a felony to damage or destroy any public or private monument or statue. Rep. John Kavanagh supported his proposal at a Senate committee hearing Thursday by saying public monuments are a statement by the community that demand more protection. The most severe damage could result in a prison term of more than 3 years. Federal buildings as well? 😉 Can we add national parks, historical sites and point of interest? Sounds legit, but the punishment has to be applied equally to everyone regardless of the nature of the statue. Cant give a pass to protesters who damage a 'Hate' or 'Racist' statue.
