Aries and Hillier Bartley Are Teaming Up With Art Students for a Jewelry Collaboration

may appear as unlikely bedfellows. While the former has become a firm favorite of the hypebeast set thanks to designer Sofia Prantera’s logo-heavy mash-ups of streetwear staples with classical mythology and prehistoric monuments, the latter—headed up by industry veterans Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley—has carved out a unique space within the London fashion scene by offering androgynous, rakish tailoring and playful accessories with a dose of throwback glamour.

While the resulting jewelry pieces, which include the classic Aries motifs of Greek temples, pentagrams, and the erect penis of the Cerne Abbas Giant, contain all of Prantera’s subversive bite, it’s this more sentimental side of the collection that feels most significant. “One of the students in the film says, ‘There is nothing wrong with being wrong,’” shares Prantera.
