AR-15s to be stored in county schools to protect against mass shootings

A North Carolina school district has taken a controversial step to increase security in the wake of recent school shootings that have happened across the country.

In the wake of the tragedy, a national conversation about gun violence and safety reemerged, with some advocating for stricter gun control laws and others pushing forin schools. Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood said that the decision was made to help his deputies be prepared to take action in the event of an active shooter situation in the district.

In addition to the firearms, Harwood said that each school building in the district has been outfitted with a safe, which will store extra ammunition for the rifles. The safes will also be stocked with"breaching tools," which could be used in the event that a shooter has barricaded themselves in a classroom, as happened in Uvalde.

America children go to prison school. It's a sad situation for the most powerful nation defeated by mentally ill gun toting manicas murdering American children in schools. Add the cowardice of some American police departments scared to do its job to protect American children.

How about ballistic shields & body armor? Problem at Uvalde wasn't that they didn't have sufficient firearms, but they were too afraid to get shot at. Cops have been carrying higher powered rifles ever since the North Hollywood shootout where the shooters had kevlar bodysuits.

If the perpetrator is similarly armed, the police would be too intimidated to ever even retrieve the guns

I'd put a couple of tanks in the playground, just to be sure. Maybe an assault helicopter on the roof of the gym.

An armed, and trained citizenry is inherently necessary to the greater social health of society. It gives social leverage that cowards, and elitist would see stripped from the working class.

Ok, hear me out... What if, instead of giving kindergarteners crayons and an education, we just gave them assault rifles and a steady diet of fear and hatred? 🇺🇸

Who’ll be faster at the stored guns and ammunition, principle, teacher, students or gunman?
