strap installed, it’s roughly 57mm lug to lug. That is legitimately wider than my wrist, which measures 46mm across. The watch iswatchOS 9 preview: all about fitness and personalization
Like the Series 8, the Ultra has an S8 chip, new temperature sensors, the new high-g accelerometer, and an improved gyroscope for Crash Detection. The Ultra takes it a step further by adding a water temperature sensor for swimmers and divers and cranks the maximum brightness of the always-on display up to 2,000 nits for better visibility in direct sunlight.
Nice. I got around two days without any low-power mode enabled and about an hour or two of GPS activity.Apple has always been conservative with battery life estimates for the Watch, sticking with a claimed 18 hours of battery life for the past few years — even if you’re likely to get a bit more in practice. The Ultra’s 36-hour battery estimate is also a bit conservative; if you’re not partaking in a triathlon, you’re likely going to get closer to 48 hours.
Low-power mode turns off the always-on display and background health sensors and limits Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, pausing most push notifications. Heart rate and GPS remain on. Apple says that using this mode, you should be able to get through a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike race, and a full 26.2-mile marathon in one go — an Ironman triathlon. The Ironman takes roughly 14 hours, depending on your individual speed, so that’s around what you can expect.

Given your review, which was well written, one is much better off sticking with the Series 7, that is if they own and are thinking of upgrading. Else, I'd go with one of the competitors mentioned. I personally own the Series 7 -- Green -- and love it.
It was a smart move of Apple releasing this watch before all of the pools closed for the year. How would anyone review it?
I need to know what camera/ lens was used for thes product photos, you guys crushed it!!
'Action Button' - had this on the SamsungMobile s3watch since I bought it. It's now on an iWatch for the princely sum of $800!!!! What a waste of money.
Seems cool but the crown in a bump looks so dumb. What happened to the much nicer looking square leaks?
