series debuted to critical acclaim. Following the streamer’s new multi-series deal with Legendary Entertainment , the series has received not only a Season 2 order but also spin-offs based on the Monsterverse franchise.
According to Apple TV+ head of international development Morgan Wandell, the series — which stars Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Mari Yamamoto,“We couldn’t be more excited for viewers to not only have the chance to experience even more thrills in season two, but to embark on epic, new journeys in the franchise, as we expand Legendary’s Monsterverse,” Wandell added.
“After surviving Godzilla’s attack on San Francisco, Cate is shaken yet again by a shocking secret. Amid monstrous threats, she embarks on a globetrotting adventure to learn the truth about her family—and the mysterious organization known as Monarch,” the synopsis reads. Season 1, which consists of 10 episodes, also stars Takehiro Hira, Christopher Heyerdahl, Tamlyn Tomita, Dominique Tipper, Jess Salgueiro, and more.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is executive produced by showrunners and co-creators Chris Black and Matt Fraction, alongside Safehouse Pictures’ Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell, and Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville, and Jen Roskind.Damien Chazelle is set to write and direct an upcoming film for Paramount Pictures, the company announced on Thursday. During…Interstellar is being rereleased in theaters and 70mm Imax in honor of the film’s tenth anniversary.
