Perhaps the time on the bottom edge, the battery life, or, as the drawing suggests, the temperature and stocks and shares tickertape. Note that there’s a clear indication in the images as to which is the front and which the back: there’s a place for the Apple logo on the back.
The image suggests that the rear could show information like indicating you’re on a call. But that, you may suggest, is rather evident to anyone who sees you’re holding the iPhone to your ear. True, but maybe it’s face down on the table, in which case the information could be more useful, maybe.Oh, and tucked away further down the patent are images of what looks like an Apple Watch, indicating that the all-glass enclosure is being considered for the smallest Apple screen, as well.
Who knows whether something as superficially crazy as this will ever see the light of day? It’s a pretty intriguing idea, though.
