- Apple Inc’s new Apple News+ service consolidates popular newspaper and magazine subscriptions, which could appeal more to casual readers suffering from subscription fatigue than long-time fans of specific publications.
But at $10 per month, Apple’s service might be attractive to casual readers who want to peruse a few articles each month from a variety of news sources. Apple News+ readers will only get a curated selection of general interest news, while Wall Street Journal subscribers will continue to have exclusive access to its business reporting and analysis, said William Lewis, chief executive of Dow Jones and publisher of the Journal, in a memo on Monday.
The two publishing houses, along with Meredith Corp, which publishes People and InStyle magazines, formed an unlimited magazine-reading app called Texture that Apple bought in March 2018. Apple said the service will not allow advertisers to track what users read, and Apple itself will not have that data. The focus on privacy comes after numerous data scandals in the tech industry over the past year.
at $10 p/month, it's cheaper than what I'm paying for Texture per month. They should consider trades package, in addition to popular news/magazines
New Yorker has bee advertising subscriptions for $6 for 6 months I think for a couple years. With no mailing or printing costs, this has got to be a pretty good deal for the New Yorker with the volume of subscribers Apple is likely to get.
Why are you advertising for Apple, Reuters?
Hey Google, what's today's news 😂
Fuck Apple. it's not a company, it's a destructive religious cult.
As much as I am an Apple fan, I still use GoogleNews
It was time to dump that sub about 3 years ago
Hmmm See this

Apple is dog shit. I don't know how anyone can support these evil bastards.
What’s New Yorker?
Partner it with Apple Music 20$ for every connection you need to the internet. Hope it incorporates a streaming portion which is sounds like it will to host live events but it should just bundle everything together right. Like Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, a little Instagram live.
