, Sweeney noted that a sequel for Anyone But You could “maybe” be in the works, although nothing is officially set in stone as of yet.
“We’ve been tossing around a bunch of different ideas,” Sweeney said. “We just want to make sure that whatever we do gives the audience what they want and at the same time is new and exciting for us.”is directed by Will Gluck from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ilana Wolpert. The filmmaker is best known for his directorial work on romantic comedies Easy A and Friends with Benefits, as well as the Peter Rabbit movies.
“In the film, Bea and Ben look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold – until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia,” reads the synopsis. “So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.”
