Last night as a cool autumn breeze whisked through Central Park and rustled the fallen leaves outside,gathered a crowd of New Yorkers inside the Payne Whitney House on Fifth Avenue. The occasion? Fêteing the Italian fashion house’s new Born in Roma fragrances, with the faces of the dual scents, Adut Akech and Anwar Hadid, on hand to toast the occasion.
Sauntering into the soirée in a red, ruffled chiffon Valentino gown with a matching crimson smoky eye, Akech mingled with a tux-clad, pink-haired Hadid, who brought his mother Yolanda as his date. The night began in the house’s grand entrance hall, where guests shuffled in and out of a photo booth inside the storied Venetian Room before heading up the burgundy velvet stairs to the second floor.
Each of the alluring bouquets of Roma Donna and Roma Uomo wafted through the gilded mansion. And Akech and Hadid led the charge as revelers danced the night away.
