The idea is that there is a grand list of all 898 Pokémon , and you can try to guess which one the game is thinking of. Since all Pokémon are not the same number of letters long, the game uses Wordle’s signature blocks in a different way.
The six blocks represent Generation, Elemental Type 1, Elemental Type 2, Height and Weight, in that order. Green means you got it right, a blue up or down arrow on Generation, Height and Weight means you have to go up or down in age or size. Elemental Types work a little different. Green means you got it. Yellow means you got one of two types, ie. you guessed Water and it’s Water/Flying. Red means you got neither.So reading this, the game is looking for a newer Pokémon that is larger. But it is electric.
This is…very hard, unless you have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of Pokémon, but there is also a Gen 1 only version if that’s as much as you can remember, which makes things a whole lot easier with only 150 possible answers. Even that version is plenty hard. Here’s me failing to guess Parasect.The height and weight gets tricky here.
Anyway, it’s hard but fun for any Pokemon fans out there. I am sure more die-hard players will be much better at guessing than I have been so far.
