We love our pets, and when they get sick or need surgery and we can't afford the bill, there is Angel Paws . Angel Paws provides low cost vet care for cats, and is based on community donations and fundraisers. We love our pets, and when they get sick or need surgery and we can't afford the bill, there is Angel Paws .Among the many cats at the clinic waiting for a little love and care is Otis, who lost his eye.

Richelle Gruber, Angel Paws founder, said, "A cat like this, most likely without Angel Paws, would likely be euthanized if the shelter could not take care of the medical needs of the cat. Someone is not going to adopt a cat that needs a several thousand dollar surgery."The clinic operates on donations in order to help rescue shelters and owners who can't afford the high cost of vet fees.

"We have several retired veterinarians here who just got bored and wanted to come back and help us," Gruber said."I graduated back in 1980. That gives you an idea . . . I'm quickly running out of steam, but I'm having fun, so what the heck," Daines said.Surgery tech at the clinic Kimberly Gruber said, "There is such a need to bridge that financial gap in the community. Without , they could not get the care they need to get adopted.

"Well I think if you've been doing something for 40 years and you're still saying it's the best decision that you ever made," ____ said. The downside of it all is that the lease for the building Angel Paws has been in is up. The property has been sold, and the clinic needs a new home."We know how expensive it is, we love that you work with rescues. On behalf of Mountain America Credit Union and KUTV, we want to give you some money for expenses," Wright said to the Grubers. The search continues for a new home for the clinic, all while they still need money for medicine, supplies and food.
