Details about the November debate — including the date, host and location — has not yet been announced. But in late September, the DNCto qualify for the November debate, the fifth of a dozen planned debates. These thresholds represented a modest increase over the requirements to get on stage for next week’s debate, and aren’t expected to drastically reduce the number of candidates on stage.
It's unknown how much longer the other candidates have to qualify for the November debate, since the DNC has not yet announced when it will take place. The qualification deadline will be one week prior to the debate.Currently, more than a dozen candidates are still short of the qualification thresholds, including four who will be on stage next week in Ohio: Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Amy Klobuchar and Beto O’Rourke.
In the Quinnipiac poll, Warren and Biden are the two clear top-tier candidates. Warren has 29 percent to Biden's 26 percent. Sanders is the only other candidate in double-digits, coming in third at 16 percent. The Quinnipiac University poll was conducted from Oct. 4-7 and surveyed 646 Democratic and Democratic-leaning independent voters. The margin of error is plus-or-minus 4.7 percentage points.
