Anyway you look at this the 85yr old is still a victim here. Even if the kid did not have criminal motives, the man was rightfully protecting himself from an intruder who he did not know. There is no malice in his actions. If both were white it would be open and shut self defense

I don’t know what the law is in Missouri but if he was pulling on the handle of the door trying to get in it could be seen as the old man was protecting his home. Just a shitty situation all around. The old man should have said something before shooting.
