“Since this outbreak began, 168 CDC employees have been deployed to DRC, neighboring countries or to WHO headquarters, Grusich said,” Helen writes. “And other U.S.-based personnel have been working with the Congolese health ministry, providing guidance on matters such as case investigation, contact tracing, and community engagement.”

This doesn't just happen with ER visits. It also happens w/ routine surgery. You can't know who is involved in your care & get weird bills from WTF is that?! An incompetent dr did surgery on my foot & I'm afraid to have corrective surgery, tho I have insurance, b/c of this issue.

Seeking a 'balance', so radical profiteering has to do be done by the book.

last year I spent 3 weeks in and out of Canadian Hospitals with a Bill of at least $5K and no way could I have ever afforded this if I lived there. 'MEDICARE' is the only way to go people!!!

The idea that a medical 'consumer' aka patient can monitor medical bills is ludicrous. Someone needs to pass out a detailed hospital stay bill to senators. Ask them to evaluate and explain.

Like the not so blind stock portfolios on the hill...🤔

How about tackling huge medical bills also

Happened to me; my in-network hospital hired an out-of-network (AND out-of-state!!!) doctor to “electronically monitor my vital signs” during emergency surgery ... and then came the bill and everyone said “there’s nothing we can do” ...

surprise! 🎉

But only the AMA in Australia is doing anything about it. Better light a fire under your AMA.

Believe it when I see it

Don’t believe your 23 and Me or Ancestry .com records are protected either. They will be sold and used to charge you more for your insurance coverage if your dna reveals a predisposition to cancer or other expensive disease.

Analysis | The Health 202: There are silent skeptics of Jayapal's Medicare-for-all measureOnly 7 of 42 House Democrats who flipped GOP-held districts in 2018 are co-sponsoring the measure. It's crazy to me that Republican Senators are now saying that we can't believe Cohen because he lied when THEY called him as THEIR witness. So this means they're publicly admitting that THEIR witnesses lied FOR THEM at THEIR HEARINGS when they were testifying in favor of Trump. Are the silent skeptics silent bcoz of identity politics? I’m against Medicare for all because it mandates that 180 million people who get health care through their employer to lose their coverage against their free choice. This is unamerican & antitheticAl to the first amendment.

Analysis | The Energy 202: Two Senate moderates come out against Andrew Wheeler as EPA chiefIt's a sign EPA's rollback of environmental rules is wearing thin among those in the political middle. We have to look at what the Republican party represents. If you're not racist you don't put a swastika on your arm cause you like the art, because we know what it stands for. So If you're a Republican(party led by a known racist)then rightfully so you're gonna be assumed a racist Defund the leftist-infested EPA. Collins (R-ME) and Manchin (D-WV) each should change party affiliation. They aren't moderates, they are gutless cowards.
