A pregnant 11-year-old girl in Argentina was forced to have a C-section after she and her family had been requesting an abortion for weeks, a human rights group said.
Last month, the girl and her mother asked medics in the northern province of Tucumán for an abortion after confirming that she was pregnant, local rights group ANDHES said. The group says the girl's pregnancy continued for several weeks before local authorities approved the procedure. A judge consulting on the case said earlier this week that the girl could receive an abortion, CNN affiliate TN reported.
WOW WOW WOW
emrazz What a great way to start WomensHistoryMonth , don't you agree?
Some of these comments are just... I can't even think of the word. How can you accept this?! Pro'Life' my ass! I like how you all care about the fetus, but not the ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD little girl!
It’s pretty straight forward: thou shalt not kill. Period. End of discussion.
Hopefully the baby will survive, and the girl will be able to heal.
'she and her family had been requesting an abortion' if the CHILD is ALIVE you cannot KILL 'him even if you 'request it for weeks' maybe her family should have taken care of her better. it's called parenting
Maybe he's an Argentine future president
So the life of the baby human being was saved! What an awesome story CNN! A wonderful start to the day!
I would hope that this qualifies as one of the 'rare cases' a conservative talk about in which they would support an abortion. Even though I think the left has gone pretty loony as of late, I still have questions like this for the right.
Men telling this young girl wtf to do is sickening
The girl had been sexually assaulted by her grandmother's partner...
So is possible at that age? What a wicked world
Yeah so I guess my problems could easily be much much worse...
11?! That's crazy. Poor kid! Now for adults it is a fair argument against late term abortion- if the birth can be a viable one, the argument that it is not a person is out the window. No? But a pregnant kid should have early access to an abortion, medical or otherwise. That is
Under his eye.
Remember, the dominant religion of Argentina is the Roman Catholic Church, so if you have issues with this tragedy, take it up Pope Francis!
What exactly are you contending is the issue, here?
Human rights = saving un born/un wanted babies, the baby can be adopted at least instead of murdered, that’s a living soul
How about you talk about how an 11yo got pregnant and what pedophile got her pregnant
Another human is in the world.
What tf were they doing for 11 months tho?!? 🤔🧐
Any concern for the human rights of the innocent child?
This is inhumane. This is what women and children can expect when men are allowed to control their bodies. No more.
Wow! Sorry to read that. A 11 year old pregnant is not good. The family should be worried about her having sex that age. Should have had her on some kind of birth control. Unless she was raped. If that is the case.....her family should kick the rapist in the ass BIGLY.
One tragedy doesn’t solve another. Let the baby live and grow up under the care of parents who desperately want it. Let the 11-year-old child continue with her life and heal from her unfortunate situation. Murdering a healthy baby isn’t the answer. Sad that has to be a reminder
Wait, what?
Damn
If only we could've aborted the 11 yr old, then we could've fixed this early on...AND BONUS - Free Adrenochrome....... DemLogic
You could substitute “Argentina” for any “Red State” and the story will still work. Unfortunately “thoughts and prayers” are fiction and can’t fix real issues.
11 year old!! Wtf?
Holy shit..
Fascist psychopaths

The 9/11 compensation fund is running out of moneyThe fund for victims of the terrorist attack is struggling to meet all claims Very touchable It's sad, but I have a hard time getting why the victims of 9/11 get special assistance. If you get sick or suffer from virtually any other kind of bad luck the government doesn't help. Do we support other victims of terrorism? Other people who get sick when buildings collapse? Larry Silverstein's buildings were full of asbestos. He got paid off TWICE by the insurance companies. Shouldn't that money be used instead?
