A Toast to Amy Schumer’s Very Best Joke at the 2022 OscarsSchumer’s dry response to the Will Smith/Chris Rock dust-up was a resounding reminder of why we need hosts at the Oscars. She livened up the show, made us laugh and think, and then helped change back energy in the room (and for us at home) after an egomaniac made us watch him assault someone. She’s excellence personified. Well done, Amy! What an absolutely obnoxious article. This was the worst Oscars! NOTHING about it was funny. In bad taste. Yes.
