Amy Klobuchar says former President Barack Obama 'missed opportunity' to address drug costs in Obamacare

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar said not doing more to address prescription drug prices in the Affordable Care Act was a"missed opportunity" by former President Barack Obama.

Klobuchar, in an interview with CNN's Poppy Harlow that aired Friday morning, laid out policy positions on regulating large tech companies, addressing prescription drug prices and tackling the opioid epidemic. In all of her answers, however, Klobuchar said either the former Democratic president or some of her colleagues in Congress did not grasp the issues early on.

Is that they way in which she will be running her campaign? What happened? Did Obama once forget to give her a salad fork?

I appreciate her honesty.

Obama took a decision on health care, after taking viewpoint of Republicans. He did not make it, like a issue on Mexican wall. Guns & Drugs enjoy bipartisan support. But at who's cost? Many Republicans Senators support Obama care. Trump can't digest this.

He also missed the opportunity to make healthcare affordable for the middle class instead of just the poor. Still the leading cause of bankruptcy 10 years later.

Criticizing Obama to get the right wing vote wont work.

Also he missed the part that u could keep your doctor

I don’t think it wasn’t addressed but the undertaking of healthcare is a battle. Sometimes u gotta get one thing completed then move to the next. We do need to address prescription costs. It’s criminal the manipulation of the system when someone can raise a pill $13.50 to $750.

Sums up Obama’s Presidency - missed opportunity

Criticizing him will not help you

actually considering the depression and wars Obama inherited from dear ole George he had an amazing run and accomplished much that the current mad man has tried his best to undo

Obama was a waste of opportunity and a mistake.

Also, like President Obama was like 2 Pres ago why did she just skip over the current POTUS?

Racist.

What a crock Klobuchar! Congress wrote the bill! Not Obama. Maybe he could have pushed for greater cost controls on drugs, but ultimately the Democrat controlled Congress at the time is responsible for what is in the law.

Every news caster says what experience do the candidates running for President have especially Beto. My answer to that is what experience did the Orange Turd have. He had none zero nada zilch. Point proven!!!!

To be fair, she was pointedly asked the question by the interviewer. I wondered why that was even a question.

OK so not voting for her PERIODT!

Obama missed a lot of things.

ah, ok.....

He didn't miss an opportunity, he was blocked at every corner by the lobbyists. We can go back and fix this, but don't blame BarackObama

Go home, Bad News

true... but someone remembers what country Obama received from Bush junior?...

Amy Klobuchar defends her staff treatment, says toughness needed when dealing with PutinSen. Amy Klobuchar's nascent presidential campaign has been dogged by allegations that the Minnesota Democrat mistreated her Senate staff. In an interview with CNN's Poppy Harlow on Thursday, the senator admitted she 'can always do better' with her staff, but said her toughness would be an asset on the world stage. I don't condone that kind of 'tough' treatment of employees by any means. However........I can't help but think as I read the article that if Amy Klobucher was a man, she would just be considered a successful businessman. Like Trump. nope, being a dick and being tough when it matters are not the same. I love being tough and encouraging high standards. However she just seems selfish and cruel. Requiring people to work for three times the maternity/paternity leave? Punishment for having a child? Ridiculous.
