Americans are receiving letters signed by Pres. Trump explaining stimulus checks—and touting the government's coronavirus response. Some experts say the move is 'clearly connected to his re-election.'

The letter sent to millions of Americans, which prominently features a massive signature by the president that stands a full 2.25 inches long and about an inch high, looks to explain the reasoning for the direct payments while touting the government response to the crisis.

The one-page letter, sent separately from mailed checks and which ABC News has obtained, states that the country is “experiencing an unprecedented public health and economic challenge as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic.” A letter from the Internal Revenue Service, signed by President Trump, notifies a family via U.S. Mail of an economic impact payment direct deposit made to their account in East Derry, N.H., April 27, 2020.

“It will include the amount, their economic impact payment, how it will arrive, direct deposit, check, or prepaid debit card as well as a message to the nation letting each American know that we are getting through this challenge together as one American family,” Trump said. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said last weekend that it was his idea to have the president's name appear on the checks in the memo section."We did put the president's name on the check," Mnuchin said on CNN's"State of the Union.""That was my idea. He is the president, and I think it's a terrific symbol to the American public."

Now we get it all. If the Dems or any of their allies or sympathizers gives out freebies, oh it's good-naturedness and competence! But if Pres Trump or any conservative gives out any form of support to citizens to mitigate against the effects of covid-19, then its reelection plot

Whenever I listen to the media, politicians and all those who insist on controlling us all or have things their OWN way, I beware of the words 'experts', 'analysts', 'professors', 'professionals', 'opinion polls', 'surveys' and other manipulating or intimidating words like these.

think about this a minute. the USPS is basically in dire need of funding. the usgov is complaining about budgets, and realDonaldTrump is taking govt $$ to hide an expensive direct mail campaign letter to self promote. as we say in NJ...fuckthisguy

Anyone notice that Trump's signature looks more like a tribute to Stormy? I see DlvvsStrmy

Shame shame

Campaign bs. WorstPresidentInHistory

Good ,just in case I run out of toilet paper!

Burned mine

Give it up! Fake news

I think a letter from potus is perfectly acceptable. This way there cannot be any misquotes etc. Whether you want to admit it he is our President -in charge of our “war” against Corona and economic recovery. I think a letter is far more appropriate than a SpeakerPelosi pen.

OH GOOD😂😂IM RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO WIPE MY ASS WITH😂😂

Uh... captain obvious?

And his signature looks like little KKK members

Democrats voted against giving us those checks.

Obvious. He wants you to think the stimulus money came out of his personal pocket.

Is the Trump campaign paying for this? Seems like a shady, illegal campaigning on our dime! TrumpIsALoser

This is a potus campaign 2020 mailing just like his briefings are campaign rallies using our taxpayer $$.

How much money did this stunt cost?

cydmariefleming Of course ...

Cant wait to burn mine

If you don’t want the check give it back

Do we need experts to tell us that?

And I shredded that BS

Not helping he has to go

I framed mine... Love Our PRESIDENT TRUMP🇺🇸❤️👍‼️

I wonder what it cost to send the letters. Is his campaign paying for it?

This expert says the media hates Trump so he has to communicate anyway he can. This Tweet by ABC and story are prime examples why this President must use other means of communicating. Sorry ABC no one believes a word that comes out of your mouths or in print.

This is dumb. Giving out money wasnt even his idea right? He didnt haven any part of the negotiations. It was senators right? Soo why he writing a letter that sounds like his tweets.

So fucking what?

Should we be surprised with this naraccist......what a shameful person

You think? Duh.

Muy bien,es la única manera de evitar a la prensa basura y manipuladira de hoy en día.

TrumpOwnsEveryDeath TrumpIsTheWORSTPresidentEVER TrumpLiedPeopleDied

DO NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP UNLESS YOU WANT MORE BS

I will wipe my butt with it!

Good. Trump2020

Then return the check .

I put it through the shredder.

I wanted to barf when I received this letter. He acts like he has just saved the world. He’s only made our world horribly worse.

Totally not necessary ! It’s not a handout from the administration, its taxpayer dollars in the end.

He is so enamored of his signature.... can’t help himself, he has to show it off.

Still no check! Still punishing the people from NY...

“Some experts” are Pelosi, Schumer, the DNC & the liberal media. Everyone else knows he is the president, he signed the bill and his name should be on the checks.

You can tell this was not written by trump

Moron...

Duh

Frame it!! Best is yet to come....

Simple, you don’t have to accept the handout. So you can hurt his re-election

cydmariefleming Yo te doy y tú me das jejeje nada es gratis.

cydmariefleming Wow

I considered it free toilet paper

Total waste of money. These went to people that had stimulus money directly deposited.

The money I’ll take the letter, I’ll be sure to toss where it belongs.

Yeah !!!!! Toilet Paper

'Here's your one check... it should last you a few months. Love, Donnie'. 🤮

It’s a brazen affront to campaign finance laws

were these letter's sent by the USPS ?

Is this legal? The taxpayer is paying for campaigning.

I got one, dumped it in the trash immediately.

He is such a pig.

This makes it look like he's bribing voters.

Huh it’s almost like we’re in the middle of a election campaign.

Remember when it took 8 months to get Obama's $300 stimulus check? And the media praised him? Yeah, that happened.

Someone less cynical would say that it's a communication to let you know you're not forgotten about and help is on its way, as opposed to hearing nothing. Notice the letter gives thanks to the House.

If you vote for this conman shame on you!

I’d just like to get my check..

Toilet paper

Libtards think the President shouldn't be campaigning. Just remember... finger raper Joe is a groteque puke.

I'm going to put it in a frame and hang it on my wall.

Perfect cure for the shortage of toilet paper. 💩

I know that everyone knows I'm naked, so what?

he was just trying to help us with the toilet paper shortage...
