U.S. college football players from universities in the Pac-12 conference, like the University of Washington and Stanford University, released a letter on Aug. 2 in the Players’ Tribune saying they would not play in the upcoming season if demands are not met, including Covid-19 safety, compensation and activism.
On July 31, the Pac-12 released a modified 10-game football schedule beginning in September, but subsequent media reports indicate the season may be canceled.
