CINCINNATI - Quarterback Joe Burrow didn't really show much during the Bengals first practice of their three-day mini-camp on Tuesday, but the Bengals didn't really do much in terms of team sessions during the practice and the focal point for Burrow continues to be to gradually work his way back as he recovers from wrist surgery.
"It's a constant process," said Burrow. "That's what coming back from injury is. There are going to be good days and bad days and take it day-by-day. I'll be ready to go by the season." He said he learned a hard lesson from last season when he suffered a calf strain in the second practice of training camp and tried to rush back.
"Whenever you fight through adversity and come out on the other side it definitely gives you a feeling of invincibility at times," said Burrow. "Obviously, you know that is not the case, so, it’s always a balancing act. That’s what this offseason has been about for me. It’s not pushing through some things that I have pushed through in the past. I’ve always prided myself on my mental toughness to be able to push through pain and push through those injuries.
