Almost 50 schools in Baltimore with no AC close early for the third time this month as temperatures hit 90 degrees.

About 50 schools in Baltimore that lack air conditioning dismissed students early on Monday, the first day of fall, for the third time this month as temperatures hit a stifling 90 degrees.

The school district previously announced the affected schools would dismiss three hours early on Sept. 12 and two hours early on Sept. 4, the second day of classes. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan wrote in a post on Facebook Monday afternoon that this was"the third time in the new school year that students are being deprived of valuable time in the classroom because of this problem."

DaniellaLSilva Bad reporting or Editing as the photo of the school busses has got nothing to do with the actual story and is misleading when looking at the comments. Should learn more from your the Mexican neighbours and have siesta times when it's hot.

American bunch of babies. In Africa & South Africa, most schools have windows &/or electric fans otherwise the wind. No such thing as closing school because it's hot.

Floor size standing fans, cold drinks of water, pull down the shades. These are old fashioned methods to cope, before ac existed.

AllResistNews But climate change is a hoax

Schools in the south start in early to mid-August. Not all of them have AC. It's hotter when they start than when they finish (end of May). Doesn't seem cost efficient to do so.

temps in an East Baltimore high school today. i'm heartbroken for the students and teachers. 💔

We have only a few BUSES with AC. And the kids start in AUGUST THE HOTTEST MONTH OF THE SUMMER AND ARE schools have never shut down ARIZONA

Oh my F'n God how did we ever survive the 50's and 60's

This happen, I remember, in the 60s too.

Here is metal for all the people saying that they survived growing up and these kids need to toughen up.

Nettaaaaaaaa Must be nice

That climate change thing is just a myth......the “president “ said so.

Maybe the city needs to do something about it.

I road the school buss with no AC we lowered the window and survived

Had many missed days last year for the same reason down here in PA. This year looks better.

One Phoenix Arizona grade school, during two weeks of high heat warnings and temperatures well in excess of 110°, had AC go out in a room. Teacher and students had to remain in classroom and principal advised that she “move around less” while teaching to stay cool. red4EdAZ

Maybe if the city had a population that contribute tax revenue they would be able to have buses with AC. The inhabitants of the city are tax absorbers not tax contributors .

The heat tricking sucks. Its nothing but miserable. Why can't we be in the dawn of an new ice age then an global heat wave.

Weather really do change..
