Pacific Chorale wrapped its season in grand style by hosting its annual gala, “A Celebration of the Voice”

Sigrid Burton, Mark Steven Greenfield, Steve Roden, Joan Takayama-Ogawa, and Pae White were among the local artists. Urquhart noted, “All of our funds will help to finance programs that support arts organizations and art education in the greater Los Angeles community.

Pacific Chorale President/CEO Andrew Brown, an Eagle Rock resident, presented the honors. “Both Carl and Leonora have been an integral part of the chorale’s fabric for decades, helping to foster Pacific Chorale’s success. In addition to video tributes, some 60-chorale members feted St. Clair with a medley from “Westside Story” and celebrated Meister with a performance of “Sure on this Shining Night.

JUNE 24: Monrovia Unified School District Taylor Performing Arts Center presents “Let’s Hear it for the Artists!” Monrovia Historical Museum, Monrovia. AUG. 28: A Noise Within launches its season with Peter Hall’s musical adaptation of George Orwell’s, satire, “Animal Farm.” Performances continue through Oct 2.
