An elderly couple are living an idyllic life in a cosy home until a robbery changes everything and one of them is killed.

PHOENIX — A man who was arrested and booked on several charges, including four counts of arson, was wearing an ankle monitor that put him at the scene of each crime, according to court documents obtained by 12News.

Hurd was arrested on May 2 after initially running from officers, according to court documents. Officers said Hurd threw a gun while running. Hurd allegedly admitted to causing a car fire on April 1 after he broke into the car to use drugs. He told police he fell asleep with a torch going and it fell and started the fire, court documents said.
