Uoma Beauty founder Sharon Chuter began the #PullUpOrShutUp campaign on social media this week in the wake of #blackouttuesday. After seeing beauty brands across the United States pledge donations to various Black Lives Matter causes, Chuter wanted to hold brands accountable by asking them to publicly announce how many Black executives they employ in their corporate offices.

. So far a handful of brands including Huda Beauty, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Inkbox, Versed and Milk Makeup have released their numbers – here’s hoping this is just the start.
