All Fast & Furious Movies Getting New, Modern Trailers Before Fast X

Ahead of Fast X, all the prior Fast and the Furious films are receiving modern-style trailers. The next installment in the fast-paced, high-octane franchise starring Vin Diesel is set to release this spring. Fast X is the penultimate chapter of the main Fast and the Furious saga, as the eleventh film in the franchise is set to bring the story of Dominic Toretto and his family to a close with a two-part finale.

Now, the official The Fast Saga YouTube channel has begun sharing "Legacy" trailers of prior films in the Fast and the Furious franchise ahead of Fast X's first trailer's debut. SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY At the time of writing, trailers for both the original 2001 The Fast and the Furious and its sequel, 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious, have been uploaded. Each video is inspired by modern trailers, imagining how the films would be promoted if they were released today.

In the first film, Toretto and his crew began as suspects behind a number of heists that Paul Walker's LAPD cop Brian O'Conner went undercover to thwart. As the series continued, they began taking on more ambitious jobs, with new foes such as Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs and the Shaw family providing more danger.

As familiar faces return for Fast X, the penultimate chapter of the Fast and the Furious saga marks a major turning point in the series' history. As such, the "Legacy" trailers are well-timed and help reframe the earlier installments through a modern lens with a new glimpse of the tenth film on the horizon. As the series draws closer to the end, the Fast and the Furious' "Legacy" trailers are the perfect way to celebrate and look back on Dom's journey so far.
