Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones met virtually on Monday with the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, he announced on his broadcast.
A source familiar with the investigation confirmed the meeting to CNN."I just had a very intense experience being interrogated by the January 6 committee," Jones said on his broadcast on Monday."They were polite, but they were dogged."Jones said that, by his lawyer's count, he had pleaded the Fifth Amendment "almost 100 times" and that he had been told to do so"on advice of counsel.
How Alex Jones helped spread the Oath Keepers' message to millions 04:30Jones acknowledged that he uses rhetoric about fighting but said that applied only to the information wars. He has repeatedly used hostile rhetoric and references to war in his messages about the election. "InfoWar means we fight with information," Jones said, adding that it was a"nonviolent war.
Nutter.
So basically, he didn't answer the questions because he wasn't sure he could tell the truth.
If the FBI did it, why pleade the 5th? Is it because the FBI didn't do it and republicans just want to hide the truth and blame others? that seems more logical. Jones is a dunce and that's no conspiracy theory.
Seems it really shook him up,....
There are videos of Alex Jones calling for peace. He asks the crowd to disperse. He's innocent
The unconstitutional, unselect committee asked questions based on conspiracy theories, almost 100 times. Alex Jones invoked the fifth amendment almost 100 times! The Jan6 committee has no evidence and received no testimony! In the words of Biden, “stupid son of a bitch!”
If asked a question you can legitimately answer “I don’t know”. You do NOT have to please the 5th if you do not know. You only plead the 5th against self-incriminating answers, not about thing you do not know.
Thanks for restoring my happiness in my darkest days, during those period I invested $500 and to my greatest surprise I got a return of $9,200 in just 5 days her reliability can't be equated William_Usr
If he would of pleaded the 5th exactly 100 times he would of went home with a free pie.
why would they want him of all people
It wasn’t an insurrection. It wasn’t nearly as violent as the riots from BLM and Antifa that cost a billion dollars in damages. The government wasn’t overthrown obviously. It was a weak attempt at a riot. Probably more of a frat party
