, an in-state defensive back who plays his high school football at Jackson, announced his plans to join the Crimson Tide.
Gordon is a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The composite lists him as the No. 17 safety in the class, No. 186 player overall. “He’s an elite corner,” Jackson coach Cody Flournoy said. “He has that extra gear of elite recovery speed. Even if he doesn’t play something quite right, he can break under it and defend it. He has great feet, great hands. I’ve coached in a lot of other places. He is not just a small-town, 4A level player. He could play in anyone’s program.”He mostly played cornerback last season at Jackson, but has versatility to move around the defensive backfield.
Gordon finished his sophomore year at Jackson with 30 tackles, including two for loss. The 6-foot, 190-pound DB also chipped in with an interception, sack and forced fumble, along with seven pass breakups. He also plays receiver and returns kicks for the Aggies and has a talented family lineage. His brother is South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett. His cousin is former Auburn defensive back and current Seattle Seahawk Nehemiah Pritchett. The 2026 recruiting class is just getting ramped up for most schools, with much of the SEC still without a single commit. Gordon became the Tide’s first commitment in the class.
