Airline passenger said she woke up alone in dark, empty plane after sleeping through landing, causing panic attack

What was supposed to be a quick, 90-minute Air Canada flight from Quebec City to Toronto Pearson International Airport turned into a"nightmare" for a Canada woman after she said she awoke hours after the plane landed, the sole passenger aboard the dark and empty aircraft.

After waking up, Adams said she attempted to use her phone to call a friend but the battery died within a minute. Panicking, she started searching the plane for a flashlight and eventually found one in the cockpit, she said. She detailed using it to flash SOS signals out of the window and then using it to help her unlatch the door near the flight attendant's seat.

"When I see the luggage cart driving towards me, I am literally dangling my legs out of the plane," she said."He is in shock asking how the heck they left me on the plane. I'm wondering the same."

Seems that part of flight attendants job would be to check the plane to ensure all left. Also typically cleaning crews jump on after that ..&if those two did not occur, then what about using cell phone for a 911 call? Surely being locked in plane would warrant an emergency.

Well it was very considerate of the airline not to disturb her sleep. Full marks to them! 👍

She was on drugs to be that passed out and sleep through the ruckus and jostling of landing and deplaning. Her fault. Have three drinks not ten. Take two pills not eight. People need to party responsibly.

Nobody minded her business while disembarking ... such is civility .

The crew cannot leave the aircraft, unless they verify that all pax have disembarked. Something didn't work according to standard procedures. Good luck to the cabin crew and maintenance crew who closed the doors without checking. What other safety violations happened?
