I think most Michigan fans would agree that this has been the longest bye week in recent memory. Since the Wolverines last took the field in East Lansing back on Oct 21., news of an NCAA investigation into the football program has dominated the headlines both locally and nationally.
Although the Michigan players haven't said much publicly about the ongoing scandal in Ann Arbor, its a pretty safe bet that they will issue a forceful response on Saturday night against Purdue in the Big House. The Boilermakers are 32.5 point underdogs for tonight's matchup, and they're also bottom feeders in the Big Ten west division at just 2-6 overall.
Put simply, Walters made Saturday night's contest against Michigan personal. Regardless of the fact that the NCAA investigation is still ongoing, Walters - like many others over the last two weeks - have already labeled the Wolverines guilty as charged. I would imagine that everyone in Michigan's locker room is aware of those comments, and I can't imagine it won't play a factor on Saturday night.
