In the aftermath of the Texas elementary school massacre, U.S. schools increase security staff and restrict visitors as they deal with copycat threats

Video shows parents begging police officers to charge into the Texas elementary school where a gunman's rampage killed 19 children and two teachers.

Mia Baucom, a 15-year-old student at a Forth Worth, Texas, high school said it was surreal to think the Uvalde killings happened in her home state. It also stirred memories of a lockdown at her school two months ago that was prompted by a shooting. In Jacksonville, Florida, the Duval County Public Schools' chief of school police banned backpacks or large handbags at any school through Friday, the last day of school. Small purses were allowed but could be searched.

After Texas shooting, schools around US boost securitySchools around the U.S. have brought in additional security staff and restricted visitors as they deal with a new rash of copycat threats after the Texas massacre. Sad, so very sad Things need to change and “hardening” the schools isn’t the answer. Are they COPYCATS or are they plan b, c, d, e & f if the Robb Elementary shooter failed to come through ... OrchestratingChaos4Power NRA & GOP & individual politicians & PD’s need to be investigated for DomesticTerrorism to further gun freedom laws Know what would be cheaper...Gun laws that stop an 18 year old from buying an AR15 and ammo. I think all school shooting have been by 17 & 18 year old males. When more than one person, teacher, schools says the kid has issues..it needs addressed. Guns are the choice of murder

After Texas shooting, schools around US boost securityU.S. schools have bolstered security in the aftermath of the horrific mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas. The larger police presence at schools and a rash of copycat threats have increased anxiety for many students and educators. Maybe the amusement of watching even more cops standing around doing nothing will stall him long enough before walking past them into the school's one entry, barricading it, and doing the unconscionable. Maybe 40% of the budget swings by in an hour. But what can we do 🤡 asses. It would be so nice if NRA members, Instead of paying their annual dues this year, donate that money to a relief fund for victims of mass shootings. NONE of the 13 deadliest mass shootings in US history happened during the assault weapons ban. That is all.
