Amazon will finally introduce support for ePub to the Kindle family in late 2012.

Ebook lovers, rejoice, Amazon has finally started to embrace the ebook format ePub. Starting in late 2022, changes to the Send to Kindle feature will introduce the option for users to send ePub files to their devices.

We are of course referring to the Kindle’s lack of support for ePub. One has to admit that it simply makes little sense for the most common e-reader to not support the most common ebook file type. Nevertheless, Amazon seems to have finally accepted that, despite its dominance on the e-reader market, sometimes following the crowd is more beneficial than paving a whole new road all by yourself.

Amazon unit to pay $5.8 mln for insulin overbillingAmazon.com Inc's online pharmacy subsidiary PillPack has agreed to pay $5.79 million to the federal government, 30 states and the District of Columbia to resolve claims that it overcharged government health insurance programs by dispensing more insulin injector pens than patients needed. When PillPak started, Amazon bugged me non-stop about switching to their pharmacy. I said NO because I don't trust Bezos with my medical info. And now I see I made the right choice. Fricken Liberal communists! Corporations should be able to charge what ever they want for life saving medication. Even if it’s at the cost of life! Sad, I know, that this is actually how some people think.
