) - The Prichard water and sewer system is getting a financial infusion from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management intended to “help jump-start the process” toward addressing serious problems plaguing the system, according to ADEM.

The $5.8 million also includes money for design work and assistance with bidding and loan applications for future drinking water and sewer projects.
