'You lose a lot with infertility,' one woman said. 'You don't get to choose how many children you want or build the family in the way you dreamed...But now to not even have the privilege of trying to build a family is just adding insult to injury.'

"Everyone is home, and there are so many jokes about pandemic babies or how tired parents are of being around their kids," said Ashleigh Azzari, 36, of Santa Clara, California."I have this constant battle not to tell people to appreciate what they have."

"My husband is from Italy. We are hyper-aware of the situation," Azzari said."I don't want to put anyone's safety in jeopardy."Many clinics have allowed patients who were already halfway through their stimulation phases to complete their injections and go through with the egg retrieval operations. However, the clinics take extra precautions with these patients.

Wang called her clinic immediately and was told that she could complete the treatment, but she had to sign a waiver acknowledging that the cycle could be canceled at any moment and attend all her appointments — including blood draws and ultrasound scans to check that the eggs are growing correctly — on her own.

Wang said:"Every time I get a call from the doctor's office, I am thinking, 'Is this the call? Is our cycle getting canceled because they found someone with the virus in the building?'""Everybody wants to know when we can start back up. The hardest part is not having an answer," said Dr. Peter Klatsky, founder and CEO of Spring Fertility, a clinic in the San Francisco Bay Area.

'add insult to injury': I don't think this phrase means what you think it means. This decision isn't a personal attack on you; we're in the middle of a plague.

This is news? EVERYONE'S life is screwed up. This is a temporary setback and it's ridiculous to make anything more of it. They will get other chances, many people will not.

I feel for people. There is a lot of disappointment in this situation. Life just doesn't come with a guaranteed schedule. Some people get covid, some people get cancer, some people just don't make it off the highway alive. It may not seem like it, but it could be worse.

I wish coronavirus shot blanks. 💥📉

This is a good thing, no matter how sad it is for a couple having trouble conceiving (which I’ve been through. It’s tough!) Now is not the time to be pregnant if you can help it.

Does anyone believes the data reported by China so far ?... Does anyone understand what were if China were reported correctly the data to the world ? Chinese are liars ! We lost so many lives because of them ! We should stop talking to liars !

LOL! Dudes boys don’t swim!

No IVF’s!? BFD, BTW, DGAS!!

If half of America can't feed their children right now, you can't medically have children right now. If we can't enjoy our lives, you can't have children right now. If we can't work, you can have children. If our cities are shit down for this ChinaVirus you can't have children

A good time to ask yourself whether you even want to bring a new life into this screwed up world. Sorry but having a baby is very low on the list of things that matter right now. Keep 'practicing' the old fashion way. You never know, it could happen.

I'm sorry, there's people actively trying to procreate ....on purpose through all this?! 🤯

I’d never try to get pregnant right now, no way.

IVF’s are being cancelled!?!? Omg! No way!! BTW, what are IVF’s?

Seriously, who is planning to bring more children to this world? Nature is trying to control itself don’t force it

People are dying get over yourself!!

Ask my mother who has a female issue whose surgery is more for her life then an elective surgery. I think this no elective surgery is all BS. Also what does abortion freezes have to do with this as well.

Why is this a story? The Nation is in crisis. WTF?

CalebHowe ☹️

Just shut the whole damn thing down. Let it all burn. If one American is being left behind every company should be.

They should be more worried about the shitty job you guys are doing

WTF is IVF?

So. Many. Acronyms. My quarantined brain can't handle it.

Too many people in the world! Quit having kids!

Why would anyone want to bring a child into this anyway?

guess US citizens health comes first at this time.
