MANHEIM, Pa. — Handmade gifts from their children are often some of the most special presents a mom can receive.is hosting several workshops for older kids and adults to find that childhood crafting whimsy again side-by-side with mom.
Owners Katherine and Jason decided to open their Horst Arts location in the heart of downtown Manheim in 2019 after spending a decade working out of their home. Katherine, a collage artist, and Jason, a graphic designer and web developer, offer their customers a variety of services.Flower Collage Workshop"It's a lot about hunting for materials, having a treasure trove of different things that you can kind of piece together and making something," Katherine said.
At the end of the day, if your project doesn't turn out looking quite like the bouquet you imagined, that's okay. Spending quality time with mom is one of the most special parts of Mother's Day. The workshops are open to anyone, too--not just moms and families. "It's about color and adding texture and having fun with materials, and so that's what I love to do all day long," Katherine said.
