They go to local bakeries to bring their dream cakes to life and sometimes end up with total fails. So goes the story of Alexandra Schroeder, who got a botched unicorn cake and is now going to court.
The Michigan woman told WILX 10 that she had been planning her daughter's fifth birthday party for months. It was held at Whipped Bakery, in Lansing, Michigan, and was going to be a"baking birthday bash." She requested a unicorn cake to be made for her daughter, and the result was not at all what she expected.“The horn came out in a shape that was so embarrassing,” Schroeder told the news outlet. “It had finger prints on it and was not gold. I could tell that it had been handled.
Apparently, when she shared photos of the failed cake on her Facebook page, Whipped Bakery tried to retaliate. The bakery's Facebook page, which has since been deleted, posted photos of the alleged"mess" Schroeder's party left, and claimed that she still owes money for having them host the event. Schroeder denies owing any more money to the business and says that the bakery only provided her with a table and six chairs for her 13 invitees. And to make matters worse, Whipped Bakery has rejected all requests for comment from the media, and says it'll all be handled in court.
