While Graham did apologize for things like saying he thought the AIDS epidemic could be a judgement from God, it’s the institutional forces left behind by Graham’s life’s work that have continued to perpetuate anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and policies, often with a direct line to the Republican Party that was forged by Graham himself.
