One faculty member was undergoing surgery and the second was stable and talking in the hospital.

Emergency responders received calls of the shooting at around 9:50 a.m., according to Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas and other officials during a news conference at around 11 a.m. local time.Local paramedics were already at the school treating another student who was suffering an allergic reaction. Those paramedics were able to begin treating the two injured faculty members quickly.

At the time of the shooting, the suspect was undergoing a regular morning search by faculty before he entered the school. This was part of a safety plan agreement established with the student due to prior behavioral issues. He previously never brought in a weapon, until today, officials said. The shooting took place at a front office of the school and away from other students and staff.

They were regularly patting him down prior to entry. At what point does the greater good outweigh this violent persons access to victims?

Posting wherever I can: Another victim was transported to the hospital today. A student needed medical attention for the emotional trauma of the shooting at her school. To those asking why: It's the Republicans. Denying that makes you complicit in the torture we inflict on kids.

So the school had a 'safety plan' in place with this student that specified he had to be physically searched everyday and as he was being searched today he shot 2 administrators. I say arrest the damn negligent parents! Student should have been in a detention center!

Why are we waiting for metal detectors to be put in schools? If he had to walk through an area where the metal detector was, before he was searched, this may not have happened. Enough already, protect the kids, put in the metal detectors.
