Sunday's shooting took place in the 41st precinct in the Bronx and the suspect is in custody, the NYPD said. The unidentified officer is being treated at Lincoln Medical Center.In another incident Saturday night, a man in a black puffer jacket opened fire on two police officers sitting in a van within the confines of the same precinct in what the mayor called an"assassination attempt.

I notice they are not attacking the Muslim (Sharia Law) private police patrols, that the Mayor allows. They dress just like and drive, look- a -like, vehicles just like the NYPD does. Why is that? Why does New York allow those patrols on their streets?

This is so sad. In such a diverse city, not only it not okay to target the thin blue line that protects the people but it requires a response that challenges the balance between police and the community that it serves. Managing Socio-economics in large cities is never easy.
