“You could hear the kid crying in the back, I jumped on top of the car, I was on the back passenger door, pulled out the 2-year-old, handed him off to one of the neighbors that came out. I was able to get the father out also,” says Nicholas Mayers.
Adam Mularczuk, 46, of Lindenhurst, was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI with a child. His 2-year-old son was treated for minor injuries. “My chest was really hurting for this little boy. Really a scary situation,” says Francesca Mocera. “My kids were sleeping, but I just wanted to go pick them up and hug them. It was really a traumatizing situation.”The family says they’re now left to deal with thousands in damages to their vehicle.Share this story
