AUBURN , Ala. - Neighbors say White Oak is a quiet and safe neighborhood but robberies can happen anytime and anywhere. Lindavideos from her home security system of three individuals walking through her backyard and climbing the side of her home, using a crowbar to break open a window. Neighbor, Mike Coggin says this is not the first incident in White Oaks .This is a video from the homeowner’s security cameras. There are three unknown individuals who appear to be speaking in a foreign language.
“I just saw the police cars parked 30 or 40 feet from my home out here which is the entrance to the subdivision, it’s the only entrance in and out of the subdivision,” said Coggin. Auburn Police were not available for an interview but they did say the three suspects are still at large. Assistant Chief Michael Harris says the White Oaks residents were not under a “lockdown order” however they were asked to remain in their homes. Coggins says they have seen theft in the neighborhood before but nothing like this.
“We were advised to stay inside just to be safe and I elected to not even go out there to ask the officers what the situation was. I just hope they catch them because we don’t need this type of activity in Auburn Alabama. We’re too nice of a community to have these things happen,” said Coggin.
