A nationwide group is looking for PA to join a cause to change the constitution

The Convention of States movement is calling for state to come together to ratify certain amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

Co-founder of COS, Mike Farris said they are looking to reign in abusive power by the federal government. The poll shows 69 percent of Republicans, 70 percent of Democrats, and 77 percent of Independents are willing to cross party lines to support a candidate backing the COS cause.Harrisburg resident, Robert Ward said he supports the idea of putting term limits in place for federal officials.

“Once the convention is convened there is the very real fear of a runaway convention, where delegates could bring up anything they wanted to,” Harrison said. “Anything that you could be taken away from you, whether it’s the right to vote, whether it’s the right to clean air, education for your children the right to worship the way you want to.”Farris said if a convention is formed, it likely won’t be for another three or four years until they are able to get 34 states to sign on.
