They knew they were here under temporary protection so why are they crying foul.
They should be naturalized as well as any other immigrant legal or not. Those deemed fit should be put on the path to citizenship. Those not, should be deported and all further illegal immigration must be stopped

TPS was only meant to be temporary, but 17 years is not temporary. Abruptly kicking families out who have been here almost 20 years is inhumane and cruel. Congress should build a fix into the next immigration reform.

Temporary means temporary. Why do people always turn blindfold when it comes to major points of an agreement? Smart people know what consequences could be in the future and prepare.

Why not, instead of terminating a program that has allowed these people to be in the US legally, open a path for citizenship since they’ve already proven to be good and law abiding?
Are we going to have immigration laws and enforce them or not? If we aren't going to ask people on TPS to return home when the crisis is gone, why should we grant this status in the future. It just means an increase to permanent immigration.

This was such a touching interview. We adopted our son from Russia when he was 18 months old. I cannot imagine if our government tried to “un do” his citizenship. These are good families and I am sickened that the US is creating this horrible situation.
