The Memorial baseball team missed the playoffs last year for the first time since 2014, the only two tmes in the past 21 seasons that it has not made the playoffs.Playing at the next level:
“We just want to go and compete pitch by pitch, and we feel, if we go compete pitch by pitch and we do what we’re capable of doing, the end result is going to be there at the end of the year,” said coach Jeremy York. Among the players on this year’s team that were not every day starters that York mentioned as people who have looked good over the course of the pre-season scrimmages are: senior Walker Light, sophomore Grayson Lincecum, and junior Adam Peavy.“We’ve really progressed,” he proclaimed. “We had a pretty tough season last year, but we’ve put a lot of good work in over the offseason, over the fall and into the scrimmages. We have definitely come a long way after a tough season.
